IEEE Broadcast Technology Society

Broadcasting is a one-to-many communication service in which the transmissions are intended for direct reception by the general public or a target audience, which may include audio, video and/or data services. The field of interest of the IEEE Broadcast Technology Society (BTS) shall encompass devices, equipment, techniques, and systems related to broadcast technology, including the production, distribution, wired and wireless  transmission, propagation aspects and reception.

 

The Society’ Standards Committee has the following active working groups:

Audio/Video Techniques Working Group—G2.1

The Audio/Video Techniques Group focuses on standards documents that are associated with equipment and systems associated with audio and video signals as used in broadcast systems.

RF Techniques Working Group—G2.2

The RF Techniques Group focuses on standards documents that are associated with signals and systems after the input signal has been converted to an RF signal.
