On the 23rd March 2018 the project team will hold their final workshop in Brussels. The workshop will take place at the University of Warwick's Brussels office.
The workshop will focus on multistakeholder participation in a global Internet standard setting.
Professor Alison Harcourt will speak at the Turing Institute on 16 March 2018. The workshop is entitled Protocol to the People? Protocol governance and power - from Bitcoin to the Border Gateway Protocol.
During our workshop on the current issues in standard developing organisations’ decision-making for the internet, we asked a few of the speakers their opinions on the issues they face.
Professor Alison Harcourt spoke at the ESRC funded seminar on 'Civil Society & Democracy in the Economic Arena' at Cass Business School on 1st December. She talked about the project and the role civil society plays in standard developing organisations.

Project investigator, Professor Seamus Simpson, gave a talk on the role of spectrum governance in European media policy as part of the launch for the Centre for Cultural and Media Policy Studies at University of Warwick on October 18th.
The project team presented a panel at the 2016 Challenging Media Landscapes Conference: Access, Participation and the Mediatised World held by the University of Salford. The conference took place between 14-15 of November at MediaCityUK, Salford, Manchester.
The conference covered participatory digital cultures and the web, as well as issues such as accessibility, social media and journalism.
