The mission of the Research and Development Working Group (RDWG) is to increase the incorporation of accessibility considerations into research on web technologies, and to identify projects researching web accessibility and suggest research questions that may contribute to new projects.

The PFWG looks at the formal Web technologies (protocols, formats, etc.) from an accessibility perspective.

The evolution of Web technologies has increased collection, processing and publication of personal data.

Provide internationalization advice to other groups developing Web standards, and review their specifications (mostly W3C groups, but we also get involved in Unicode, IDN, IETF and other work).
